When Family Caregiving is too much and you've "had it up to here" 😤😡😒

There are times when you have to remove the "super cape " of being a loyal, kind, self-sacrificing Caregiver and yet you feel unappreciated, misunderstood, and "unheard". 😤😡😒

Fun fact: "you're human". It happens.😤

What can you do/become to face the challenges of a bad day as you only have control of your own thoughts?

Here are 3 ways to hit the mental and emotional "reset".⏱️🌞💖

1/⏱️Box breathing - Imagine a square box 📦 , close your eyes and inhale for 4 seconds in the top left corner - hold your breath for 4 seconds as you draw a line across to the upper right corner then exhale; (hold your breath on the lines for 4 seconds); draw a line down to the bottom right corner; hold for 4 seconds, draw a line across to the bottom left corner; hold, then inhale; lastly draw a line up to the first corner and exhale. Breathing this way slows your overactive, stressed mind and calms you down . You may need to do this a few times .

2/⏱️Connect with your Higher Power- however you pray, you need to tap into guidance and faith for better days .

3/⏱️Connect with friends who know you well, with whom you can safely "vent".

Caregiving is not for the fainthearted, and there are times when you need to let yourself be taken care of.
