Tip 6- It's ALL about...Habits!!!1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣😊
One definition of a habit is a pattern of behaviour that is acquired by frequent repetition and leads to better facilitation of performance.😮
That's a lot of words to be sure, but broken down into small pieces, can make a huge difference between mental and tangible success and failure in any aspect of life.
Whatever our pattern of thinking, it leads to a pattern of action, that then leads to a personality and if this is towards the negative, we can feel stuck, overwhelmed and lost.
Family caregiving is no exception and actually developing a system/pattern of good habits, can make that situation manageable, even joyful.
Our brain associates repetition with retention- so think of it- making a small effort for ourselves in the right direction everyday; yes everyday, trains us to retain empowering thoughts and feel in control of our lives (especially when external things are out of our control- which they are!)
So- what can you do each day?
Best at the start of the day to feel in control of your day - pray, meditate, exercise, make a "to-do" list, have a healthy breakfast... whatever works for you, even if you can only start with one minute a day, then you get into a "groove of good".
The result? Empowerment because that feeling of accomplishment leads to more positive thoughts and actions; better relationships, better sleep, less anxiety.
Start with one minute a day and work up to 20 minutes or 1 hour a day ( as your schedule permits). I promise it will make a difference and lead to success and smiles!😁
What is one habit you can start today? Do it for one week! Let me know how good it feels (and keep going!)👍
From my heart to yours!💗
One (good) habit a day keeps the doctor away!😂👍🏽
