Hello loving older couples!💗💗
Did you just get married?
Do you want to get married but hold back because you think that you may be "too old"?
Does marriage in older years even make sense?
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!💗💗💗💗
Does LOVE💗 have an age limit? NO!!
AT a family member's wedding today (well it was yesterday), I was so touched at the joy love , togetherness and "GOOD VIBES" , not just the dancing and fun, but the seriousness of what it really means to pledge to another human your devotion in good times AND bad, (and a good time was had by ALL!!🥳😊🎉)
Much research continues and the overarching conclusion is that "even" when one is older, marrriage has so many positives around it: why?
It can
💗boost your immune system 💗reduce high blood pressure which can lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes 💗brings a relaxed mind-good mental health 💗less physical pain and , yes
💗💗 LONGER LIFE!💗💗
So to those of you who will be or have been married at a later stage in life, the maturity, patience and sense of commitment can actually be stronger, merging two hearts with AGELESS LOVE, and
💗HAPPINESS - ---who can say no to that?💗
Do I hear wedding bells?💍🤵🏽👰🏽💗😉😍
Good vibes always!💗
From my heart to yours💗

Hello loving couples!💗💗
Let's talk Sex and Intimacy --- and Ageing! It's part of life , let's keep it real!
Why talk?
Sex after 60 is an absolute yes , many couples into their 80s also have a healthy sex life.
Yes there are some concerns, but once we bear an open mind, we can better understand, empathise and remove the stigma and shame.
Overall: sex in older age is is positive because couples have a history, are partners and friends , have had a healthy sex life , are generally healthy, and have more time- fewer financial constraints, better communication and more experience and familiarity with each other.
Yes there are some medical concerns, both female and male which can affect sex:
Females: decreased libido due to hormonal changes; body concerns if there was surgery (such as a mastectomy or hysterectomy); vaginal dryness.
Males: erectile dysfunction and the effects of chronic medication and the medical conditions themselves.
Erectile dysfunction symptoms might include persistent:
💙Trouble getting an erection
💙Trouble keeping an erection
💙Reduced sexual desire
There may also be emotional reasons for ED .
Whatever the cause, the issue can so negatively impact your life at all levels, not to mention place you in danger from the consequences of NCDs (heart attack and stroke are just two of these)
Pain from arthritis, dementia and the perception of sex can negatively impact comfort of sex and intimacy , so talk to your doctor, as there are so many interventions that can make this easier.
It's not always sex- intimacy is touch, kind words, reminiscing, kissing, just being together.
Are there benefits? Yes, many!
💗boosts immune system 💗reduces blood pressure which can lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes 💗relaxed mind-good mental health 💗less physical pain and
💗overall HAPPINESS - who can say no to that?💗
What action step will you take TODAY?
Sex, Love , Intimacy and HAPPINESS!💗
Good vibes always!💗
From my heart to yours alway💗

PART 2: "Pinktober"!💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 (For men and women?🤔)
#breastcancerawareness #womenshealth #pinktober #breastcancermonth #breastcancernutrition #breastcancer #mindfulness #healthcheck #breastcancerprevention #breastcancerdiet #elderlyhealth #healthyliving #healthylifestyle #healthyaging #lanaslittlethings #immunesystem #mammogram
Welcome back to part 2 , expanding the conversation on Breast Cancer- the Men vs Women debate that seems to have gone on and will go on for centuries!
"Gents, please examine your breasts".
Why Does It Matter?
💗Both sexes are born with breast tissue- yes!
💗Breasts that are made up of fatty tissue, fibrous tissue, nipples, ducts (tubes that carry milk to the nipples), and lobules (milk-producing glands).
--💗During puberty, the hormones in girls’ bodies cause their breast tissue to grow. The hormones in boys’ bodies restrict the growth of their breasts, so their breast tissue stays smaller.
💗Most breast cancers in men begin in the milk ducts.
......................................
MEN: look and feel for:
1) A lump or swelling in the breast.
2) Redness or flaky skin in the breast.
3) Irritation or dimpling of breast skin.
4) Nipple discharge.
5) Pulling in (retraction) of the nipple or pain in the nipple area................................................
WOMEN: Note:
1) A change in the size, shape or contour of your breast.
2) A mass or lump, which may feel as small as a pea. A lump or thickening in or near your breast or in your underarm that persists through your menstrual cycle
3) A change in the look or feel of your skin of your breast or nipple. Your skin may look dimpled, puckered, scaly or inflamed. It may look red, purple or darker than other parts of your breasts.
4) A marble-like hardened area under your skin. (doesn’t move)
5) A blood-stained or clear fluid (discharge; from the nipple) ....................................
WHAT ARE common risk factors that may increase your chances of developing breast cancer?
• 👴🏽👵🏽🧓🏽Age: >/=55
• ♀️♂️Sex: Women >Men
• 👴🏽👵🏽🧓🏽 Family history: If your parents, siblings, children or other close relatives have breast cancer, your risk is higher.
• 🧬Genetics: Up to 15% of people with breast cancer develop the disease because they have inherited genetic mutations. The most common genetic mutations involve the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.
• 🚬Smoking; including Tobacco use
• 🍷Alcohol: data varies, but overindulgence in general
• 🥔🛋️Obesity
• ☢️Radiation exposure: especially to your head, neck or chest
• Hormone replacement therapy (HRT): has been shown to increase risk................
"Know Thyself"; "Check Thyself"
💗Have regular health checks-Gents!
💗Maintain a healthy body- diet and exercise- to reduce your risk and manage any therapy recommended
💗REMEMBER: a positive mindset- to heal!
With heart always💗
