Tip 6- It's ALL about...Habits!!!1๏ธโฃ2๏ธโฃ3๏ธโฃ๐
One definition of a habit is a pattern of behaviour that is acquired by frequent repetition and leads to better facilitation of performance.๐ฎ
That's a lot of words to be sure, but broken down into small pieces, can make a huge difference between mental and tangible success and failure in any aspect of life.
Whatever our pattern of thinking, it leads to a pattern of action, that then leads to a personality and if this is towards the negative, we can feel stuck, overwhelmed and lost.
Family caregiving is no exception and actually developing a system/pattern of good habits, can make that situation manageable, even joyful.
Our brain associates repetition with retention- so think of it- making a small effort for ourselves in the right direction everyday; yes everyday, trains us to retain empowering thoughts and feel in control of our lives (especially when external things are out of our control- which they are!)
So- what can you do each day?
Best at the start of the day to feel in control of your day - pray, meditate, exercise, make a "to-do" list, have a healthy breakfast... whatever works for you, even if you can only start with one minute a day, then you get into a "groove of good".
The result? Empowerment because that feeling of accomplishment leads to more positive thoughts and actions; better relationships, better sleep, less anxiety.
Start with one minute a day and work up to 20 minutes or 1 hour a day ( as your schedule permits). I promise it will make a difference and lead to success and smiles!๐
What is one habit you can start today? Do it for one week! Let me know how good it feels (and keep going!)๐
From my heart to yours!๐

๐ฅ๐ฅTip 5- What are you grateful for?๐๐ฝ
Gratitude has been called one of the highest positive energy qualities surpassed only by unconditional love. Especially when times are tough!๐๐ฝ
There are countless videos, books, movies, etc. on the value and grace of using gratitude in our lives, and many who have been through the harshest of trials say that when they looked for even the smallest thing in life for which they were grateful, like their child's smile, helped them to get through another day.๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ฝ
Caregiving is so full of challenges, and the end of the year can bring even more complex "drama" at a time when there is so much to do; there are family gatherings and often past unpleasant memories come to mind.
So.... how to get outside of the unpleasantness and negativity that can bring you down? Write down anything that we are grateful for-- from your eyelashes to your toenails (seriously!)๐๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ๐.
What you write, flows into your heart, calms you and raises your energy levels, so much that the more you look for, the more you find!!๐ฏ
What happens next? You're now in a better mood, fractured relationships can heal, and the future looks bright!๐ฅ๐
Moment by moment!๐๐ฝ๐ฅ๐
What are you grateful for?
From my heart to yours!๐๐
