AGREE?/DISAGREE?
Sorry gents; YES we do!
Before the inevitable protests, please hear me out!
I am not only going by the science, but also what is observable day after year, year after year:
WHY?
Basically ONE "not in your control" , but TWO well within your capacity to Champion Change!
(For the purpose of this discussion, the conversation will, for clarity, be based on this premise. I will not be discussion the myriad genetic aberrances such as XXY or other. Nor is this a social debate- for a different time).
So, let's continue:
π¬NOT IN YOUR CONTROL (Science, not social)- please remember that as medical professionals, we must adhere to the gender assigned at birth and all that goes with it:
π§¬FEMALES: XX ; MALES : XY (a statistical advantage- if one has any defects, women have the benefit of the unaffected X chromosome; Males- it is what is is. As a direct result of this:
𧬠Oestrogen has been proven to have cardio and cerebrovascular protection - if your heart lives longer- so do you!; if your brain lives healthy longer, the longer it can keep you healthy !

LIFESTYLE FACTORS
β π¬A Healthy Lifestyle - women have been outpacing men on this for decades - diet generally πpoor in nutrients generally due to lack of food preparation- males, especially between the ages of 20 to 40/50/60(?)
πsmoking,π excessive alcohol use - both of which slash your life expectancy
β Seeking health check-ups - know if anything is wrong and correct it : hands down- women
β SOCIAL -
πOccupational choices and their hazards - males- typically more dangerous jobs
πSUPPORT NETWORK!!!! - we ladies can vent and release our emotions; we are more "allowed to- so change it gents!! Have your "Mansheds of Mentorship" for younger males who WILL talk

There is life in association, and the isolation (self-imposed or otherwise), from the lockdowns of COVID-19, really caused many of us to feel isolated and alone, still 5 years later!π’ (yesssss it is still here!)π’

Have you ever seen sheep alone? If so, it is LOST- What does it do to signal its distress? It bleats.........LOUDLY!!!

Arrange for a friend's night out! Zoom- Facetime! A simple telephone call (remember those? LOLππ)
If a friend or relative, or even a trusted paid caregiver can arrange to come and spend just a few hours with your loved one, then arrange with YOUR peers for a "time-out together"- talk , reminisce, "get your groove back!
The association with peers who know and understand you can be such a refresher!ππ«π«
Schedule the time, do not wait for a "chance encounter"!
